Welcome to my classroom website! I love teaching 4th grade! It's the best of all worlds...the kids are still young but growing in independence, and they still like their teacher and their class! I strive to motivate my class through technology and hands on learning. My goal is to help them to love learning and be proactive in their own education. Even if they don't know everything, I want them to know how to find the information/learning they need at each time of their lives. They are my gifts from God and their lives will be their gift to God!
I am Anne Elizabeth Pape.....
I grew up in Lincoln, the 10th in a family of 11 children. I am lucky to have had 2 amazing parents who taught us to love much, work hard and in all things love, trust and glorify God. Those lessons have helped me through some very difficult times in my life, including brain cancer. After graduating from high school, I went to UNL where I met my future husband, Jerry. We were married here at Cathedral in 1984. We have lived in Colorado, South Dakota and Nebraska. We have 3 fantastic children, Jack, Ben and Claire. Ben lives in Omaha, Claire lives in Virginia and Jack is active duty Army and is currently deployed. I've taught many different grade levels and subjects including K-3 Library and Computer classes, 6th grade, 5-8 Reading, K-3 Reading Specialist, 8th grade American History, Reading and Language Arts, and my favorite - - 4th grade! I also worked and traveled as an Education Trainer for Boys Town (which is where I taught 8th grade). In addition to spending time with my family, I love to read, write, and run. I also enjoy traveling and history. I am honored to teach my little gems, and every year I become very attached to them! Thank you for trusting me with your children!
